Suppose you have two data points that you want to fit to a line. What are the variables you are solving for? How would you write a matrix equation that will give you the answer when solved?

Use Gaussian elimination to find the line containing (1, 2) and (3, 6).

How would the matrix equation look if you only had one data point? If you had three data points? How would this affect your attempts to solve?
